As Modero grew as a company, the need for coherent communication kept growing too. By making a strategic distinction between static and dynamic communication channels, and seamlessly integrating SharePoint Intranet and Teams, Modero achieved greater efficiency and a thriving company culture.

The customer | Modero

Modero is a fast-growing company that offers a wide range of legal services. In fact, it's the only national network of bailiff's offices in Belgium.

The challenge | Getting everyone on the same page

Due to rapid growth and a lack of uniform communication methods, Modero faced several challenges:

  • A lack of clarity and efficiency in internal communication

  • Insufficient diversity in the tools used for communication and collaboration

  • No clear organizational culture left, due to rapid growth and many new people

A wide variety of profiles work within the organization. That's why there were also major differences in communication needs and how the tools would be used.

Joos Van Goethem, Marketing and Communications Manager at Modero, was well aware of these challenges and reached out to Xylos.

The process | Clear communication with practical, accessible tools

Together with the Xylos Solution Consultants, he set out to find the best approach. They quickly arrived at a split between static and dynamic communication. Static communication is permanent in nature and important for everyone, while dynamic communication is only relevant for a short time and can change daily. Given the distinction between these two forms of communication, it made sense to choose a different medium for each.

By leveraging different channels depending on the type of communication, the organization managed to regain focus. The existing intranet and Teams environments were integrated into a single environment. Within that environment, communication is divided: static communication via the SharePoint Intranet, and dynamic communication via Teams.

Because (re)building a company culture was an important factor in this story, we focused not only on the functional aspect of the environment, but also on its inviting character. As a result, the new Teams environment becomes a platform where colleagues can get to know each other better. It lowers the barrier to asking each other for advice, and results in less email traffic.

The result | A stronger company culture

Thanks to the new Teams and SharePoint environment, Modero became more efficient and now works on its organizational culture every day. Employees have a clearer view of primary and secondary communication, and no longer get lost in large volumes of email traffic.
