Around that question, we're building the third edition of our AI event, once again at Technopolis in Mechelen. An evening with a sharp keynote, substantive sessions on security, operationalization and adoption, and plenty of time to catch up with peers.

Our keynote speaker this year is Johan Van Looy, currently Head of AI at Antwerp Police Zone and for many years CEO of Innocom. He takes you through the broader evolution of AI, beyond the pure technology, all the way to the big question of what this technology does to humanity: does it move us forward, or does it disrupt us even faster?

This year we're focusing on truly putting AI into practice and keeping it manageable. We work that out in three sessions:

• AI and security: how do you keep AI secure while scaling it up?

• AI and operationalization: how do you keep the cost of AI in production under control? The bill almost always ends up higher than budgeted. You pay per question to a model, and an agent pays per step. Peter Verrykt, Business Director Professional Services at Xylos, shows where those costs sit and how to keep them low.

• AI and adoption: how do you bring thousands of employees along on a scalable AI learning journey? Johan Peeters, Business Unit Manager Learning Services at Xylos, outlines where to start: first measure where your people stand, then build a learning path that fits their role. Next, Ageas explains how the international insurance group tackled this with a playful AI change programme. You'll hear which choices they made and where they had to adjust course.
